Career Center promotes confidence and professionalism by providing clients with career guidance, technology skills and support in their job searches.
The Career Center offers individualized services and resources that are vital for women entering the workforce, such as career guidance, access to technology, work skill development, and support. Beginning with their first visit, clients are encouraged to use our Career Center, which promotes confidence and professionalism and helps them secure and maintain employment. Staff members and volunteers work one-on-one with clients helping them to create superior résumés and cover letters, providing career counseling and mock interviews and facilitating access to professional skills training courses.
Half of the women that we serve do not have access to a computer, printer or the Internet outside of the Career Center. This technology is a key tool in preparing for and obtaining a rewarding career. By offering the resources and support needed to build their career and professional skills, we give our clients a competitive edge when searching for new employment or vying for a promotion.
Career coaches and HR Managers will be on hand every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am - 1 pm to help with mock interviews, resumes, job searching and mentoring. Self-service hours are Monday - Thursday from 9 am - 4 pm.
