As we step into 2024, Dress for Success Cincinnati (DFSC) is proudly celebrating our 25th anniversary, marking an exceptional journey of empowerment, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the women in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
Founded in 1999, DFSC started with a clear vision: not only to provide assistance to women in need of appropriate clothing to interview for a job, but also to provide a stable, safe and caring environment for women as they reclaim their lives. What began as a vision has evolved into a thriving non-profit that not only supplies professional attire but also offers a comprehensive range of programs dedicated to building confidence, fostering professional skills and helping women achieve economic independence.
At the core of our success lies our holistic approach to empowerment. Beyond providing professional clothing, we host interview preparation workshops, mentorship programs, and a variety of initiatives aimed at equipping women with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in the professional world. The impact extends far beyond the initial interview; it's about creating lasting, positive change.
Over the last 25 years, DFSC has served over 25,000 women in our community. We have hosted hundreds of monthly networking meetings. (Formerly known as Professional Women’s Group, now called EmpowerHER) We have also hosted 23 Fashion Shows, allowing us to showcase stories of the amazing and inspiring clients we work with.
The journey would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the Cincinnati community. From clothing donations to volunteering and financial contributions, every act of kindness has played a pivotal role in sustaining and expanding the organization's reach. As we celebrate 25 years, DFSC extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey.
